INVITATION AND FIRST CALL FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSIONS

Dear Colleague and Friend,

Following the immense success of the previous Annual Meeting held in Prague in 2017, it is with great pride, honour and pleasure that I invite you to take part in the XXX Annual Meeting of the European Eye Bank Association in Coimbra, Portugal.

This year’s programme promises to be both exciting and fulfilling for everyone and we look forward to receiving your original contributions to this meeting in the form of oral and poster presentations. In this regard I can confirm that you can find the link for online registration and abstract submissions on the dedicated Meeting website (https://2018.eeba.eu/article) where you can also find details about the preliminary scientific programme, registration fees and timetable, accommodation recommendation and advice on travelling to the EEBA 2018 Meeting (CLICK HERE).

Coimbra is a vibrant city with plenty to offer. Portugal is one of the oldest countries in Europe, full of history and culture, being a world acclaimed safe destination. Our mild climate, diverse landscape, healthy and unique cuisine allied to our heartfelt capacity to welcome all different cultures and creeds make it the ideal destination to host a very successful endeavour such as the 2018 Annual EEBA Meeting.

Your active participation will be the basis of this meeting’s success, and I sincerely hope you will make use of this excellent opportunity to ask questions, participate in discussions and gain new insights. I warmly welcome and look forward to meeting all of you in January 2018!

Even after we bid our farewells to each other at the end of this meeting, I hope that we can keep in touch and continue to help and support each other as we strive for higher standards.

Cordially,

Maria João Quadrado, MD,PhD

Head of Coimbra Eye Bank, Coimbra University Hospital – Portugal
